Introduction
They say you should never judge a book by its cover, but from first impressions, there’s a lot to like about mFortune Casino. If you love great slots games, an easy-to-use app, generous bonuses, and customer-support on hand when you need it, we have a feeling you’ll like ‘em a lot too!
mFortune is one of four casino brands owned and operated by Intouch Games, and opened its virtual doors in 2007. Since then, they have become a recognised face in the casinoverse, thanks to one pretty special thing – they design and develop all of their games in-house.
We downloaded their app – which is free from the App Store or Play Store and is compatible with iOS 10 or Android 5 – for a closer look. Here’s what we found…
Bonuses, Offers, and Promotions
One of the first things you’ll be looking for in a mobile casino is what kind of welcome bonuses they offer, and mFortune doesn’t disappoint!
When you create your first and only account with them – which is easy, by the way! You just need a phone number – you’ll receive a £5 welcome bonus with, get this, no need to make a deposit. This £5 bonus can be used on any game you like, and staked any way you fancy.
This welcome bonus comes with a x1 wagering requirement which means you have to play through it once before you can withdraw any winnings. Basically, you can’t just get this welcome bonus and withdraw a free £5 which is fair enough!
We then made our first deposit – again, really easy with the mFortune app – we received a 100% first deposit match. We added £20 to our account and ended with £40 to play with, pretty sweet right? Again, this had that x1 wagering attached.
You can also grab loads of other bonuses from mFortune Casino. Regular depositors are sent text messages with weekly bonuses, there are Game of the Month promotions on new slots games, seasonal campaigns such as at Halloween, refer-a-friend bonuses, chances to win bonuses on their Facebook page and more.
As with all casinos, there are terms and conditions attached to all bonuses so make sure you’ve had a read through before you sign up.
mFortune Casino Games and Software
We noticed two things when we loaded up the mFortune app:
- There was a modest selection of slots (around 40!)
- We hadn’t heard of any of the games there!
Turns out, this is because mFortune design and develop all of their games in-house. They don’t buy in the same games you might be used to seeing, and use their own software to bring the games to life. The fact that you can’t play these games anywhere else, certainly makes them all the more appealing to us!
There are all sorts of games to choose from at mFortune; fruity slots, animal-themed slots, even a few spooky slots – perfect for Halloween! We decided to try out Slots 4 Kings which was a playing card themed slot, with a fun mini-game.
The RTP of all of mFortune’s games are pretty standard and what you’d expect; you can see them on the game pages if you’re interested. All of mFortune’s games have to go through independent audits by the UK Gambling Commission and have been certified for fairness before release.
If it’s big jackpots you like, we’d say to give Cat and Mouse or Vegas Vegas a look. Both of these games have progressive prize pots over £200,000. A quick look on the mFortune blog tells us they’ve had a few jackpot winners this year already which is always reassuring to see.
As well as slots, there’s bingo – more on that in a moment! – and a few casino games too. You’ll find Blackjack, Roulette, and Poker at mFortune if you’re more into your classic casino games than your mobile slots.
mFortune Casino Bingo
Bingo more your bag? mFortune’s got that covered too! mFortune Bingo can either be played via the website or by downloading the standalone app, and we liked what we found here too. There were 11 rooms named after precious gems – we played in Amber – and each has its own chatroom and progressive jackpot.
In Amber, we paid 10p for a bingo ticket or 60p for a strip. We did notice that in Diamond you’ll pay 25p a ticket or £1 for a strip as this is their “premium” room – it’s the one with the biggest Jackpot too!
Prize wise, things are pretty standard here. If you’re the first with one line, two lines, or a full house there’s a prize in it for you. And those jackpots? You win one of those if you tick off a full house in 35 numbers or less.
While we were playing, there was a quiz going on in the chatroom – we took part in the “All Things Pink” Quiz. Admins would ask questions, and the first person to give the correct answer was awarded 100 loyalty points.
We asked about these loyalty points and it turns out they’re pretty cool. Not only can you win them in the quizzes and on Facebook, but you also get loyalty points every time you buy a bingo ticket. You can spend these in the Loyalty Store on things like bonus credit and a small selection of prizes.
The bingo admin also told us that they hold prize draws a couple of times a week – they’d got one coming up where you could win some shopping vouchers – so it’s worth checking these out too.
mFortune Payments and Security
Just like opening an account and playing their games, it was really easy to make a deposit at mFortune Casino. You can deposit anything from £5 using your debit/credit card, PayPal, Paysafecard or Skrill, or anything from £3 when you deposit by phone bill. These phone bill deposits will either be added to your monthly bill, or taken from your monthly credit.
When you want to withdraw, you can request a withdrawal to your bank account without depositing. If you want to withdraw to a card or PayPal, we found you need to have deposited using this method first.
There wasn’t a minimum withdrawal amount at mFortune, but we did see that there’s a £3 fee if you withdraw anything under £10. It’s also worth noting that the most you can withdraw from a free bonus is £200.
mFortune say they process anything withdrawals within 3-4 working days which means Monday-Friday and not counting the day you make the request. Three days after we requested our withdrawal, we got a text asking for I.D. which we sent using the “Send I.D.” function in-app. Once mFortune had reviewed and approved this, we had the money in our account in another couple of days.
Admittedly this timescale is slower than a lot of other mobile casinos, and is one of the main areas we think mFortune could improve.
All these transactions and your data are safe and secure as mFortune use 256-bit TLSv1.2 digital encryption. They also say that they don’t pass your details on to third parties which is another plus in our book!
mFortune is a GamCare certified casino which means they take responsible gambling seriously. If you need them, there are a number of restrictions you can put on your account such as session and deposit limits, cool-down periods, and even self-exclusion. If you’re registered with Gamstop, you’ll be excluded from mFortune and its sister brands too.
mFortune Customer Support
If things go wrong or you’re having any trouble, you’ll want to get in touch with mFortune’s support team and doing that is really easy. They’re UK-based and are available 24/7 which means whenever you need them, they’re only a phone call or live chat conversation away.
Just tap “Support” in-app to reach out to them but if you don’t have the app installed or are having trouble:
- Call +44(0)1384 880 842
- Text HELP to 85777 for a call-back
- Email [email protected]
- Contact them via Live Chat at mfortune.co.uk
Conclusion
Like all mobile casinos, there were a few pros and cons with mFortune…but we think the pros outweigh the cons. Sure the game selection is a little limited and withdrawals could be sped up, but we did enjoy the games we played and there’s that x1 wagering on bonuses which is seriously low.
If you’re in the market for a new mobile casino, we’d say sign up to mFortune and give them a try with that free £5 welcome bonus.
